  1. Replacing the string on trimmers has always been an arduous process where 3 hands are needed. Ryobi has addressed the biggest issue – loading the string. While I haven't seen this in person or used it, they've made it super simple to load the string and know which way to turn it. I currently have a Deere 'Professional Grade' trimmer (which is actually made by someone else I'm told). A small part of the plastic trigger broke off and the replacement part is $46 (just for the part). Insane.

  2. I liked the spool. It was very easy to replace the string but didn't really like trimmer itself. As soon as I took it out of the box the thing constantly stalled. Took it back and got an echo instead. Love the echo and comes with a spool very similar to the ryobi one.

  3. I purchased this after watching the video. Was skeptical, but very pleased after putting to use. The bump feed works perfectly and the plastic is very heavy duty. Best replacement head I've found so far. Using it on my Cub Cadet 4175.
